Each child in Reception and KS1 is entitled to a free school meal each day. You do not of course have to opt into this scheme and may provide a packed lunch for your child if preferred. Children can either bring their own packed lunch to school or purchase a school meal. School meals are managed and provided by Totally Local Company which can be paid for weekly or termly in advance. We have worked closely with the company in recent months to ensure the quality and freshness is maintained and that links with local suppliers are ongoing.
The cost of a school meal for KS2 children will be £2.65 per day as of the 3rd September 2024.
Payments for school dinners are to be paid a week in advance online at www.eduspot.co.uk. The office can no longer accept cash or cheques.
Each day we offer a meat, halal and/or vegetarian options, along with either a choice of a jacket potato or sandwich.
Children order school meals in their classrooms every morning. A copy of the menu, which operates using a 2 or 3 week rolling meal option system, can be viewed by downloading the document at the bottom of this page. You may wish to look at the menu with your child and discuss the meal option they may wish to select.
Free school meals in KS2 – please do not hesitate to use your entitlement which is treated in the strictest confidence. Information about elligibility can be found using the link below. Please note that free school meals cannot be provided until we have written confirmation of your entitlement. Pupil Premium Funding is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils claiming free school meals. This money is used to support pupils in raising their attainment. Even if you only claim money for a short period of time the school will now continue to receive money for the next 5 years, so please apply now!
