Homework Support
As a follow-up to our overwhelmingly attended homework support session, please find attached the different resources that were shown during the meeting. I have endeavoured to write notes on each resource to guide you in their use, but feel free to pop in if you are at all unsure. Please note that although the children in Year 1 do not need to know their times tables they are asked to count on and back in equal steps once they are able to do so in ones, so a couple of these resources might be better suited to the Year 2 pupils but are here for your interest. Some of them can also be adapted for addition and subtraction facts aswell.
If you were unable to attend the meeting, you may also find the calculation policy on this site a very useful document, as it details how we approach the teaching of the 4 rules of number (addition subtraction multiplication and division) from Year 1 right up to Year 6.
